My total YTD (Year To Date) social network growth is 2,000 percent.
That’s quite a number to marvel at. Granted, the numbers will change as the years go by. In any case, seeing the numbers does provide credit to the concept of tracking results.
As a result of my decision in the spirit of transparency, I am posting my monthly transparency report for November 2016. In addition to my social performance, I will also provide insights to what did work and what did not work.
Summary of my performance.
Overall, in relation to the bigger picture, my performance was satisfactory.
After reviewing my blog’s business plan, I made the decision to remove YouTube from the social transparency report. The primary reason is because YouTube is a video platform which is suitable for vlogging. Vlogging is a whole different creature than blogging.
Despite removing YouTube from the total results, it did not affect my monthly growth for November. Twitter continued to be the strongest performer with Instagram and Pinterest providing additional connections.
Monthly Social Network Growth - November 2016
What to expect in December.
The biggest takeaway from reading Regina’s Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Business Tasks for Bloggers again was to audit my blog on a regular basis.
After taking a look at how far I have come with my social brand and my blog this year, several pieces to the puzzle started falling into place. The biggest piece of the puzzle that fell into place was the fact the whole year was a learning process.
December is typically a holiday month celebrated worldwide. As a result, I don’t expect much of a change in my social growth.
What I did realize was it is the final month of the year. That means it’s time to wrap things up, put away what did not work in 2016, and put what did work in 2016 to the plan for 2017.
There are going to be some changes throughout the site this month. You might have noticed a few of them already. For example, instead of having 11 categories, I am now using 5 categories which will allow me to better understand your behavior here.
In other words, what you are interested in.
Share your thoughts.
In the meantime, I look forward to your thoughts.
I’m curious how you did with your blogging efforts in November. Are you planning anything different for December or taking a similar approach (wrapping things up and preparing for 2017)? Feel free to comment below.
