In the spirit of transparency, I am posting my monthly social transparency report for October 2016. In addition to my social performance, I will also provide insights to what did work and what did not work.
This report tracks the data across 7 social networks.
Summary of my performace.
Overall, in relation to the bigger picture, my performance was satisfactory. October was the fifth strongest month of growth this year. It barely edged out September by one percent.
Of all the social networks, Twitter was the strongest performer. Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Google Plus followed behind in that order.
The only network that did not gain or lose connections was YouTube.
What to expect in November.
I performed relatively well for the month of October. It appears the social networking strategies I have in place is effective. I will continue to fine-tune this but for now, no complaints.
We should see some kind of impact with a series of scheduled posts help me find my readers’ groove. It took a while to get into the groove because of finding an area of interest to focus on.
Narrowing down the topics.
For example, we know travel bloggers can be successful. However, with almost a glut of travel bloggers, there is a lot of competition in this area. This forces me to define my topics more clearly.
After examining my areas of interests, I realized one specific area will allow me to focus on more broadly.
Accessible slash inclusive travel and tourism.
Due to the diversity of the human conditions, the trick is to figure out how to approach relevant topics. Fortunately, there are a lot of overlapping areas that will allow me to present information with in a relevant manner.
